Alloy wheel straigthening

Bent & dented alloy wheels are common problem and often lead to your vehicle failing it’s yearly mot or a drop in tyre pressure.

At alloy wheel refurbishment hull we see lots of damaged alloy wheels caused by potholes, raised manhole covers or damage to the road surface. Often this can go unnoticed untill it’s time to present the vehicle for its mot or replacement tyres need fitting. This is often marked out by the vehicle inspector in yellow crayon and refared to to as “road wheel distortion” and marked on the mot rufusel as a “major defect” and dangerous to use on the road.

Its often hard to spot a damaged wheel when its fitted to your vehicle, some of the signs of this could be,

 Steering wheel vibration 

Low tyre pressure

Un-even tyre tread wear
